1960s. A vintage Kyo Yaki plate with calligraphy likely from Kyoto, Japan. The calming moss green color pairs with the natural color of the clay revealed at the edges. Each similar plate is adorned with elegant, almost abstract calligraphic symbols representing flower, moon, sky, longevity, luck or beauty. A very soothing finish. A small treasure for a variety of purposes.

There is a stamp on the reverse. Condition is very good.
