The design of this magnificent leather journal arose in the medieval hill towns of Umbria, Italy, between Florence and Rome. The leather is heavyweight, supple calfskin vegetable-tanned to a rich chestnut tone. The combination of top-quality leather with a thick slide close, and refillable features is a superb blend of luxury and functionality. Variations in color and texture of the leather are part of its unique aesthetic. The refill is held in place by pockets stitched to the inside front and back. A golden ribbon bookmark enhances the blank ivory paper block. A practical pen loop is stitched inside.  Handcrafted in Perugia, Umbria.
